It seems that some people have been having some difficulty trying to work out how to change their MySpace layout after switching to Profile 2.0 so here is a step-by-step tutorial to walk you through the process.
Step 1: Log in to your MySpace account and select "Edit Profile" from the Profile menu

Step 2: Click the "Customize" link in the top-right hand corner

Step 3: Select the "No Theme" option to clear your existing theme
Step 4: Click on the "CSS" link

Step 5: Paste your layout's code into the CSS box
Step 6: Click the "Publish" link in the top-right hand corner to publish your updated profile

I am having problems with the new 2.0. I, personally think it sucks. The new modules do not fit the old apps, like bumper stickers, green spot, etc. I like my new layout, but want to remove the modules so that the apps can fill the space they need basically I don’t want boxes and borders. What do I do to remove them without ruining the layout?

I want to know why is it, that when I copy and paste a layout on the 2.0 it only copy the background and won’t take the whole layout like it was designed. I end up just trying to make the little boxes look as close to the layout as possible.

I don’t see the “customize” in my edit profile section. Is that means that I don’t have the 2.0 profile or what? Please help me.

I had the 1.0 lay out with CSS in one of the profile info boxes. When I changed to 2.0 I didn’t really think of that CSS affecting anything. I couldn’t get a new 2.0 lay out to take effect after I clicked PUBLISH. I changed back to the 1.0 lay out, deleted all references to CSS, then went back to the 2.0 version. I clicked ‘no theme’ and then previewed it, then went back and clicked the ‘happy day’ theme and clicked publish and the damn thing still won’t hold the changes.
What gives?
~K on Wed, 10th Jun 2009 3:18 pm
AHHH – ok I am not sure if this was totally coincidence but… I remembered I also had my blog ‘formatted’. I went back into V1.0, went into the blog manager and clicked to restore the orignal settings.
I went back into 2.0 version, selected a theme and VOILA, it worked.
Hmmmm.
